Writing assignments that run the gamut from Myths to Commercials to Poetry. A poetry Contest for grades 1-8.

~~ Grade 6 highlights include: Old Testament Projects, interactive copybooks, How-To's, "Holes" Unit, Caricatures, Reading Rewards
~~ Grade 7 highlights include: Koffee Klatch, interactive copybooks, Public Service Videos, Storeyboards, Poetry Readings, Survival Guides
~~ Grade 8 highlights include: Wax Museum, Holocaust Unit, Grammar Board games, Soundtracks of My Life, Poetry Critiques

What would you like your students to take away from this year?

~ An understanding of the complexity of the brain
~ An awareness of how they learn best
~ What brain-based learning means
~ A renewed interest in reading and writing

Why did you become a teacher?

I decided in the 1st grade when I started school and I never changed my mind.  It is what I always wanted to do!

What is your favorite lesson to teach?

Any writing lesson, especially poetry.

What is one thing your students don't know about you?

If I told you, it wouldn't be a secret anymore!
