Highlights for this year:
The 4th and 5th grades will be taking part in the Passport to History program where they visit historical sites throughout Delaware County to earn stamps in their passports. The 5th grade will be participating in the D.A.R.E. program again this year.
What would you like your students to take away from this year?
I would like the 4th and 5th graders to realize that learning is FUN. Also that it is the effort a person puts into something that is important-- not always the end result.
What are your favorite subjects and topics to teach?
Religion is my favorite subject. I have always loved seeing my students' understanding and faith in God grow.
My favorite topic is the American Revolution. I teach my students that the colonists tried to resolve their problems with the king peacefully. I am able to relate the First and Second Continental Congresses with the Steps to Respect Program we use at NDDL.
What in one thing NDDL students do not know about you?
As a child, I was a diver for Nassau Swim Club for eight years.
