For students in grades
1 through 12, this program has responsibility for the religious
instruction and sacramental preparation of parish school age children not
attending catholic elementary or high school. The Pre-School activities are provided for 3, 4 and 5 year olds on Sundays during the 10:00 a.m. Mass using the “I am Special” program. |

NOTRE DAME PREP REGISTRATION
Registration for 2008-2009 PREP (CCD) classes will be held on April 27th and May 4th after all Masses in the multipurpose room with the exception of 10AM Mass on May 4th which will be held in Nelson Hall. This includes grades 1 through 12 and Pre-School – 3, 4 and 5 years olds. All those entering first grade must have a copy of their baptismal certificate unless baptized at Notre Dame. The fee for books and supplies is $45/one child, $15/each additional child. Please note there will be a late charge of $15 for those who do not register on these dates.

Confraternity of Christian Doctrine
Registration is required for CCD students in grades 1-12, preschool, 3, 4, 5 years and Special Ed. Fee is $45 for one child, $15 for each child thereafter. This does NOT include Sacramental fees for First Eucharist or Confirmation.
First Grade students and new students are REQUIRED to bring a copy of their BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE to registration in an envelope marked w/student’s name & grade. Original certificates will be returned. Those preparing for the sacraments must provide certificate well in advance unless baptized at ND. Classes & times will be announced in the bulletin in the fall.
Those from outside the parish MUST have written permission from their pastor to participate in the program. Even with permission, you must see Mr. Pepe is it is a sacramental year.

1. Baptism records are required in First grade and when entering our program from another parish.
2. Any change from the above calendar will be made know to children and a handout will be sent
home if necessary.

children.
5. A Two-year attendance of religious classes prior to sacramental preparation is required either at
Notre Dame de Lourdes or at another parish before any sacrament may be made at Notre Dame
de Lourdes. If transferring from another parish, records of prior attendance are required.
6. Notice of the C.C.D. meetings will be given upon request if anyone is interested in attending.
Parental Involvement
Role of Parents as Catechists for the children:
1. To be a living example of our faith, by receiving the sacraments regularly and attending Mass.
2. Discussing weekly lessons with their children.
3. Assisting in home assignments, study for exams.
4. Communicating with child’s C.C.D. catechist, at meetings that may be scheduled.
5. Growing in adult knowledge and the practice of our faith.
