Significant Tax Advantage Individuals ~~ Significant Tuition Assistance for Families
Thanks to a change in Pennsylvania law, individuals with a tax liability can now join a Special Purpose Entity (SPE) through the Foundation for Catholic Education to take full advantage of the PA EITC programs.
How It Works
In May 2001, Pennsylvania created the EITC (Education Improvement Tax Credit) for businesses, expanding it in 2012 to include Subchapter S corporations, partnerships and LLC's. The EITC enables companies to support local non-profit charities, at a minimal cost, instead of sending their tax dollars to Harrisburg. It’s that simple. Your tax dollars stay here to help Notre Dame families finance a Catholic education for their children.
The EITC gives registered businesses in our community a 75% tax credit. If a business commits to the program for 2 years, they receive a 90% tax credit.
Businesses authorized to do business in Pennsylvania who are subject to one or more of the following taxes are eligible to participate in the EITC Program:
Additionally, most subchapter s-corporations are now able to participate passing through the tax credit on their personal income tax.
