Our computer technology curriculum begins with our PreK and Kindergarten students working 1:1 with our IPad program. Additionally, students visit the lab for introduction and mouse and keyboarding skill development. In first and second grades, students work with Microsoft Office Suite 2014, building an understanding of the tools and terminology of Windows applications. Students also learn about computer safety and staying safe online.
1-to-1 Technology: Grades 3 to 8
Every student in grades 3 through 8 have laptops that travel with them from class to class. Students in these grades use Google Classroom and G-Suite for Education. This involves sharing files with Google Apps, both with teachers and while collaborating with other students in school or at home. Students are also introduced to a variety of technology applications for understanding computer programming and coding, robotics, 3-D design, editing both image and video files, and designing websites. To keep with the current trends, we have a paperless lab! Grades 1-8 classrooms are equipped with SmartBoards.
